• The goal of level 18 involves clearing all 20 jellies, while scoring 40,000 points in only 16 moves–three fewer than in level 17. The limited amount of moves you get may seem like an insurmountable task; to counter this, you must put together a lot of special candies to clear as much jelly from the board as possible in the least amount of time.


• A much larger obstacle than your turn limit, however, is the small cross-shaped hole in the middle of this level, which severely limits your ability to make matches (let alone combos) in the usually-open center of the board. To make matters worse, the whole level is shaped like a larger version of this cross, with lots of corners to deal with.
• One last problem: these jellies are double jellies, and must be hit twice in order to be completely cleared from the board. All these factors add up to an almost overwhelming task, but creating special candies will allow you to triumph.
• On the plus side,  this level consists only of four colors, which makes it easier to make matches and trigger cascades. Your first moves should be on the very bottom, as this can easily lead to a cascade that will begin removing jelly from several section of the board at once.
• Form any and all special candies that you can, but if you’re able to place them in specific areas, vertical candies will do the most damage in the very bottom or top of the grid, whereas horizontal candies should go in the middle to the far left or right.
• All candies will fall straight through the hole in the middle, so when in doubt, stick to making moves at the bottom. This will move the board around significantly and create new opportunities for you elsewhere.
