• The goal of level 489 is to collect 88 blue and 88 purple candies while scoring at least 35,000 points in 35 moves or less.


• The obstacles in this level is that there are two columns of alternating licorice candies and 2-hit meringues that surround a column of 9-move candy bombs.
• You need to eliminate those candy bombs a quickly as possible because if you don’t in 9 moves, you lose the level.
• Use special candies to break through the blockers, and it is easier to make special candies with only 5 colored candies in this level.

• There are also dispensers that spew more licorice swirls and candy bombs, but don’t be preoccupied with them because the real challenge was to get to the bombs surrounded by the columns.
• Since there are only 5 colors on the board, it is easier to make a color bomb and when you do, combine it with a color other than purple or blue so that eliminates that color from the board and more purple and blue candies will fall into play.
