• In level 27, you want to score 50,000 points in 30 moves with no other objectives to distract you. Again, this board is a simple square grid, but with a great number of blockers. The bottom and both sides are covered in a layer of meringue and licorice Xs, limiting your first moves effectively to a 5×7 rectangle.


• Opening up the board and clearing the licorice and meringue boxes first will give you more breathing room and help you to increase the number of candies that can come onto the board. You can use special candy combinations to clear the boxes with the greatest efficiency. Bombs–particularly those placed in corners–are great tools for removing the most licorice possible in a single move, and their secondary blasts also have the potential to clear meringue as well. Bomb and striped candy combos are optimal for clearing out great swaths of blockers at once.
• Having the board cleared of licorice and meringue boxes will also help you when a moon struck occurs. With fewer colors on the board you can take advantage of making combinations. Make sure you also watch out for Odus to stay balanced in this level, and rebalance the owl if the scale tips too far to one side.
