Brace Yourselves, Kindle Users…The Saga is Coming!
After much talk and speculation, the rumors are confirmed – Candy Crush Saga by king.com will be released to Amazon’s Kindle Fire Tablet. A press release was issued today that Candy Crush Saga will have a limited release to some areas for the Kindle Fire. The official launch date will be on October 17th, and will be compatible with all generations of the Kindle Fire tablet.
After king.com’s major success with Bubble Witch Saga for Kindle Fire, Tommy Palm announced in a statement that king.com felt that now “the time is right to bring Candy Crush Saga to Kindle Fire fans.” Kindle Fire users gave thumbs up feedback to king.com’s first Kindle Fire released game Bubble Witch Saga, which only sparked more talk of when Candy Crush Saga would be released for Kindle.
And while it doesn’t look like Candy Crush Saga has been released into the U.S. Amazon Appstore just yet, Aaron Rubenson (Director of Amazon Appstore) said, “We are thrilled that King is bringing their extremely popular title Candy Crush Saga to the Amazon Appstpore and across the entire line up of Kindle Fire tablets…” However, both Rubenson and Palm’s press releases did not mention if Kindle Fire’s version will support Amazon’s digital currency – Amazon Coins.
Candy Crush Saga has become one of the most talked about games of the year. And unlike most other fads, Candy Crush Saga isn’t phasing out anytime soon. With it already being available for all platforms including on their website king.com, Facebook, Android and iPhone devices, it only makes sense to complete dominate with all of what Amazon’s Kindle has to offer. This now includes the Kindle Fire, the new Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX.
It’s pretty safe now to say that Candy Crush Saga is the poster boy for app games.
