Is Farm Heroes Saga The Next Candy Crush Saga?

Many people are predicting that Farm Heroes Saga will have more success than the hit game Candy Crush Saga. The makers behind these two games, King Digital Entertainment, have created multiple match-three games including Candy Crush Saga, Farm Heroes Saga and Pet Rescue Saga. Recently, King released an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange that did not live up to its expectations.

Many investors fear that King will not be able to duplicate the success that Candy Crush Saga has had. With Candy Crush Saga rankings declining and the game itself representing a majority of their revenue, investing into the company may seem very risky for some. However, two new games including, Farm Heroes Saga and Pet Rescue Saga, have been climbing the charts.

Farm Heroes Saga features the same format as Candy Crush but uses farm-like resources called cropsies. There are a variety of cropsies used in the game such as, strawberries, onions, carrots, suns, apples, etc. The boosters and blockers are different as well, which changes the format and strategy of the game. Although, it is still a match-three game, you will find many differences when comparing it to Candy Crush.

Compared to Candy Crush, Farm Heroes has already had more success in the early stages of its existence. Not only do they have more players and fans at this point, they also have more levels than Candy Crush did at this stage. Also, King has been promoting the game by having different events that promote urban farming. This past April, King held a ‘Be A Farm Hero’ pop-up event in New York City. They have also held other events throughout Europe. The events drew in many people and celebrities that helped promote the new game.

King has also been promoting Farm Heroes Saga through television advertisements and commercials. With over 320 million monthly users already, it seems that the Farm Heroes promotions and advertisements are working for the company.
